Rick Browne
Rick Browne is the Consigliere and head of the Capos, bringing decades of barbecue journalism, television, teaching, and worldwide field experience to the family.
The role behind the title
Rick created, hosted, and produced 91 episodes of Barbecue America, a cooking and travel series carried by more than 230 public television stations. He also created and hosted Ready, Aim...Grill for the Outdoor Channel.
A 2024 American Royal Barbecue Hall of Fame inductee, Rick founded Barbecue America Magazine and has authored 16 bestselling cookbooks. As Consigliere, he turns that experience into practical guidance for the Capos and helps uphold the standard of the craft.
