Anthony “Spooky” Fetters

My story starts during my tour in the United States Marine Corps from 1982–1986. I was able to purchase a few horses and I was on the Yuma rodeo team as a bull rider. This led me to becoming a farrier (horse shoer) shortly after exiting the Corps. I became very proficient at forging and forge welding. I forged my first knife in 1986. Looking back all I can say is what a train wreck that knife was.

After shoeing horses and blacksmithing for 11 years, I wanted to continue serving my country. I became a police officer but always stayed in the fire forging things. About the last 10 years of a 25-year career, I concentrated on learning more about the knife industry and forging custom knives. I spent almost every spare minute teaching myself the art.

One day, one of my SWAT sniper partners called me and slowly informed me he was tasked by the team with signing me up on the TV series, Forged in Fire. I competed on the show towards the end of my career as an officer and won (season 5, episode 3). The rest is history. God has blessed me with a great business forging high-quality knives.
